Moved to Scotland 2 years ago and asked Russell to cook for us, intending also to try out other chefs. Never went anywhere else and actively look for any excuse to invite him back. His food and the service is exceptional. Used to ask for menus, but now trust him absolutely to make his own choice of the best ingredients on the day he cooks. Whenever we have company we get asked hopefully, "Is Russell coming?". One of my guests recently remarked that it was literally the best food she had ever had. Do they award Michelin stars to private chefs? They should. Russell is easily that good.
